Denise Bar-Aharon is an Entrepreneur who confounded Make-A-Wish of Israel together with her husband in 1996 in late her brother’s name. From Make-A-Wish inception 23 years ago, over 4,000 magical wishes have been granted. Denise was also the owner and president of B.T.C International, a buying agency in Israel that represented top brands such as Macy’s, Calvin Klein, the Gap and More. Prior to opening her own company, Denise held senior level positions in sales and marketing in both retail and wholesale to New York, Los Angeles and Israel. In the 1990s BTC International contributed to millions of dollars of export from Israel to the United States and received many awards for their contribution to Israel from the Israeli Export Institute. In 2015 she was shortlisted for the Rappaport Prize for Women Generating Change in Israeli Society. She serves on the advisory board at FIT, the fashion Institute of Technology, her Alma Mater. . Denise is also a sculptor and was commissioned by the city of Ranana in 2001 to make her first public sculpture called “Three Wishes” that signifies the three sides of a woman; Family and love, Philanthropy and Professional Satisfaction. She is also a motivational speaker and speaks to audiences all over the world about philanthropy and business and how they can co exist and intertwine
