What quote do you live by?
"What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger!”
What are your hobbies, interests and passions?
I am a certified Barre Instructor, that must say something about my love for Barre. I have a passion for teaching and practicing it. I'm a sucker for a nice warm cup of coffee, soft pj's, my audible when I'm driving but, when I get a chance, I love a good hard copy book. I love helping others and mentoring younger women. I have a passion for working with the Mental Health community and the youth.
What does your typical day look like?
I'm usually up and running pretty early, preparing my little one for school and setting the tone for the rest of the day. I prepare for my 3 main goals for the day before I head out the door for either business meetings or barre sessions. I'm usually on the go visiting clients, prospects, building relationships, and networking with new groups of ladies and gents locally.
What motivates you as an entrepreneur?
Leaving a Godly legacy that transcends time and generations
What is the best advice you were given when starting your business?
You can not chase two rabbits at the same time- puts things into perspective
What is your definition of success?
Success in my opinion is defined by the season of life you are in, just as seasons change so does the definition of success. In the season when I first had my son, success meant leaving the house with my hair washed and some lip gloss on and not having any blowouts in the car. In my current season, success means living an ample life of self love and individuality, while gracefully growing a business and life coaching firm, and still having the ability to joyfully and not grudgingly love on my family.
What do you want to achieve in the upcoming year personally & professionally ?
I would love to gracefully and organically grow my business, build solid relationships both on a personal and professional standpoint. I would like more connection and transparency!
How do you want to use you're strength to give back to the community?
I always try to find ways, whether through my abilities and experience in connecting people, fundraising, public speaking, coaching, mentoring, etc.
What is the biggest challenge you have in your business?
The biggest challenge in my business right now is scaling my business all while managing all the other entrepreneurial duties that come when you first launch a business.
Why did you decide to join The Emery?
I've been following The Emery since they first initially started mentioning the concept in Miami. For some reason, I have never attended any local events but the topics and elegance behind the events and communication intrigued me. When I saw that the work space was almost done, I fell in love with the renderings but as I continued to read all the membership benefits, events and opportunities to grow my business I knew immediately that this was the community that I wanted to surround myself with- a community of women in business, who exude elegance and class but are not scared to do what it takes to be successful in their current season in life and businesses. I'm looking forward to collaborating, connecting, learning and building some amazing relationships.
