real estate attorney, grimaldi law firm

Founding Emery Member Melinda Grimaldi

I am a Real Estate and Estate Planning Attorney and Entrepreneur. I have had my own practice since 2009 and love not only what I do, but that I do it for my own firm. There is no better feeling than unlocking my own door at the office in the morning. In no particular order, I am a mom, wife, friend, daughter, sister, feminist, amateur chef, and obsessed with traveling. I have a passion for helping women achieve their goals and am always looking for ways to help a sister out.

What quote do you live by?

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”

What are your hobbies, interests and passions?

I love spending time with my babies and to cook, eat, travel, visit different spas, and shop but most importantly I love to gather with friends and family. Most recently, I love to learn about how to be a better business owner through coaching and reading.

What does your typical day look like?

As the song goes: work work work work work. Typically I will have a closing, calls, staff meetings and work on building my business. I am working on building 4 routines: morning routine, start the workday routine, end the workday routine, and evening routine.

What motivates you?

My children and being the best version of myself.

What is the best advice you were given?

Personal growth proceeds professional growth.

What is your definition of success?

Depends on the day. I have struggled with this because my old definition of a good mom conflicts with my definition of being a successful entrepreneur. I am still working on my definition by redefining my old definitions but it will include a balance of the two.

What do you want to achieve in the upcoming year personally & professionally ?

I have a HUGE lists of goals for 2019. Building and following daily routines that include self-care, education and things that will make me more efficient and productive at home and office. Triple my gross annual revenue.

How do you want to use you're strength to give back to the community?

I want to help women achieve their goals.

What is the biggest challenge you have in your business?

Mom guilt.

Why did you decide to join The Emery?

I wanted a space where I would find other entrepreneurial women that will understand my drive to succeed. I also want to host workshops for women business owners and The Emery is a beautiful space.
