In this workshop we will explore ways of thinking that can help us get motivated. The most effective mindset depends on the type of goal you are pursuing. Sometimes it will serve you better to adopt a promotion focus (achieving and maximizing gains) or a prevention focus (being safe, minimizing losses).
What to expect:
Identify an objective for the next 4 weeks.
Reflect on promotion vs. prevention and identify which one is best for the goal at hand.
Identify and share concrete milestones.
Walk out with a clear goal and a weekly accountability process for the following 4 weeks.

About Series Host:
Magdalena Pire is a recent transplant to Miami. Prior to moving to Miami, she spent 9+ years working at Google where she managed a legal operations team focused on content moderation. Magdalena has experience managing international teams, developing content policies and scaling them. At Google her day-to-day involved influencing lawyers and engineers to balance risk, scale and values.
Today Magdalena explores how improving our goal-setting intelligence can bring execution to the next level. She works as a consultant for companies interested in rolling out “OKR” (Objectives and Key Results) and explores how this methodology can be beneficial at the individual level.
Magdalena is also interested in how exponential technologies and organizations are disrupting all industries. Last but not least, Magdalena is a firm believer in equal economic opportunity. As a result, she spends provides strategic support to LEAP (leapforladies.org) and contributes to the Emery community with workshops and trainings.
