DR. ANDREA ORVIETO
a plus wellness life, doctor of acupuncture and chinese medicine
I help the influential woman feel confident in front of their audience by eliminating the early onset of wrinkles and preserve their J.Lo. glow using a unique facial cupping method. I love helping people (especially woman) feel the best versions of themselves whether it's giving them more confidence stepping in front of their audience or adding some pep in their step. Have a nagging pain that won't go away or debilitating headaches? I can take care of those too ( and everything else in between).
Let's get to know Andrea...
What are your hobbies, interests and passions?
I love a good workout especially one that challenges me mentally and physically. I am a coffee lover and obsessed with dogs (especially my dog), oh and sushi everyday!
What does your typical day look like?
My day typically starts with coffee and a workout to get myself in the right mindset. Both of those things help set the tone for my day ahead. Then I typically treat patients (unless it's my admin day, and if that's the case, I am networking and working on my business). At the end of the day, I cook dinner for me and my fiancé.
What quote do you live by?
“Great people do things before they’re ready. They do things before they know they can do it.” -Amy Poehler “It’s very hard to have ideas. It’s very hard to put yourself out there, it’s very hard to be vulnerable, but those people who do that are the dreamers, the thinkers, and the creators. They are the magic people of the world.”- Amy Poehler
What motivates you as an entrepreneur?
Educating and helping people feel the best versions of themselves motivate me. I want people (especially woman) to feel empowered and healthy and that drives me as an entrepreneur.
What is the best advice you were given when starting your business?
If it scares you, you're on the right path. And don't be a spectator on the sidelines, be the star of the game.
What is your definition of success?
For me, success is collaborating with like minded health professionals to help people take control of their health and wellbeing. Also, going to work and it not feeling like I'm working.
What do you want to achieve in the upcoming year personally & professionally ?
Professionally, I would like to spread the word of preventative medicine and encourage my patients to take control of their health before a problem occurs. Additionally, I want to team up with other healthcare professionals and give patients the best care they can find.
How do you want to use you're strength to give back to the community?
I want to be able to support those that may not be able to afford preventative care by sponsoring them and give them the care they deserve. I think everyone deserves a chance to use alternative medicine.
What is the biggest challenge you have in your business?
Most people are scared and uneducated about acupuncture, cupping and alternative medicine, therefore they shy away from it. In addition, most of our society wants a quick fix instead of the a long lasting fix. Shifting people's mindsets may be the most challenging part of my business.
Why did you decide to join The Emery?
I love the idea of powerful business women collaborating instead of competing and I think that The Emery really defines that. I am so excited to learn from other badass woman and help make other's lives better.
